Memorial Fund Contributions:

I thank each and every one of you who either called or emailed me to express your condolences upon the passing of my dear friend and our colleague, Paul Robinson. The impact that Paul had on our academy both here in Wisconsin and at the national level cannot be quantified. The loss of not only a friend and colleague, but also a leader of significant impact and vision and a gifted voice of the profession cannot be overstated. I know each of you appreciates how much worse the loss is to his wife Dianne and to his children Amanda and Aaron.

Many of you have asked what you can do - and the Academy leadership and management staff asked for your patience until we had a chance to talk with Dianne and find out what needs her family has. I have been working with one of Paul's old college classmates and dearest friends who is assisting Dianne and the family with estate issues. Scott has informed me that Dianne's major concern is with being able to provide for the college education of their two children.

Amanda is 18 years old and a freshman at St. Cloud State University. Her major is Anthropology with a possible minor in biology. Like her dad, Amanda is outspoken and enjoys meeting new people. In addition to studying, Amanda enjoys playing soccer, going to hockey games, and spending time with her family and new college friends.

Aaron is 17 years old and a senior at River Falls High School. He plans to attend St. Cloud State University next year. He hasn't chosen a major yet. Active in high school sports, Aaron is a member of the cross-county, hockey, and golf teams. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a big fan of the Discovery Channel. Aaron and his dad shared an interest in science and history.

We all know how expensive a college education is today. It costs about $85 per day for a student's tuition, books, room, and board at St. Cloud State University. The loss of Paul's earning ability has severe implications for Amanda & Aaron continuing their education. To this end, an educational fund has been established at the First National Bank of River Falls. I am asking all of you, my friends and colleagues, to consider being as generous as you can in making a donation in thanks for Paul's contribution to our academy and our profession.

Checks can be made out to the A&A Robinson Educational Fund and can be mailed to:

First National Bank of River Falls
104 East Locust Street
River Falls, WI. 54022

I thank you again for your thoughts and prayers for Dianne and the kids during this most difficult time. The generosity of the members of the WAPA is well known. I thank all of you in advance for your generosity.

Sincerely,
Michael Conard, PA-C
