Supporting Wildfire Relief in Southern California
The thoughts of all CAPA leaders and the entire CAPA team are with everyone impacted by the wildfires, including the incredible first responders and clinicians working tirelessly to provide care and support to those displaced and in need. You, your family, and your friends could be among the thousands forced to evacuate. Some of your clinics and practices may no longer exist, and many of you may be overwhelmed by the number of victims requiring treatment and assistance.
We know PAs want to help each other and CAPA is able to serve as a consolidated forum to connect all of you, share resources, or present ideas on how to address some on-the-ground obstacles. Please feel free to share the experiences or challenges you have encountered while delivering care in wildfire affected areas with the CAPA community.
As we speak, CAPA is starting conversations with the medical industry to prepare them for urgent requests. If you are part of an impacted clinic or know of other clinics that are in need of medical supplies, please let us know. The CAPA team will work with you to obtain appropriate information and help liaise with potential industry donors.
We encourage you to use CAPA platforms to communicate with each other and with CAPA. How can we help?
