Family PACT Policy Update: Site Certifier to Include PAs
After advocating for PAs and communicating with California’s Department of Health Care Services (DCHS) for nearly eight months, CAPA was finally able to persuade DCHS of the value and critical importance of including PAs as site certifiers within its Family PACT Program!
Effective April 15, 2024, PAs may now site certify! This program permits qualifying medical centers to provide family planning and reproductive services to the communities they serve. With PAs as site certifiers, more centers, particularly in communities most in need, will be able to integrate and provide family planning services along with other medical services.
